It has been so long since I wrote to you, so I thought I would drop you a quick note to let you know how Gus (previously “Finch”) is doing. As always, Gus is a much loved member of our family. He has put up with a lot of changes over the last nine months, and adjusted with no problem. In September, Scott and I had twin boys, so Gus now has two new baby brothers! He has been doing wonderfully with the babies — he just licks their head or hands every once in a while. He loves to go for walks with them (he walks right next to the stroller and keeps an eye on them), and he follows me whenever I need to go check on the babies. He was also my best friend during the summer–I was on bed rest from June through September, and Gus stayed by my side the entire three months. Sometimes he would even refuse to go out for a walk because he didn’t want to leave me. He is truly a wonderful dog and I cannot say enough good things about Gus. Our life would certainly be dull without him, and we are so happy we found you and Gus!

Gus went to boot camp for a few weeks earlier this summer, and just last weekend, passed the AKC Canine Good Citizen test! We were very proud of him. He is such a joy to have around, and we are so happy to have him in our lives. Everywhere we go with Gus, everybody wants to pet him and comments on what a beauty he is. The dog trainer also wanted me to tell you that he thought you did a great job with the breeding, because Gus is so smart.

I have a attached a few pics below so you can see how he looks now–he will be one year old next week! Next for Gus is therapy dog training–he loves people so much, I think he will be a natural.
